Adara's Dollies

I visited my father, who lives in the Portland, OR area with my husband. We had a great time and I finally had a reason to have a traveling gnome! Briar graciously screamed for it to be her. She has a new wig too! On the river, showing the bridge network. She was so cute trying to look through the telescope. It was black. We had no quarters. She sulked for awhile about it. And then we went to the world famous VooDoo Donuts! Briar could not get over the golden glitter brickwork outside the shop. The store had a line snaking down the block. Thankfully, it was a fast moving line. We decided not to have donuts for dinner, though, and found a cafe with Natural  Portland ketchup. The next day we went looking for waterfalls and scenery. Oh boy did we find it. Briar would like to take over the narrative voice from here. I's more interestin' anewayz. We went to da waterfalls and I went rock climbin's! Wasn' easy. Everthin ...

I'm going to pick things back up with some updates. Wes is still body-less, Briar has a new wig and outfits, Cherry has a refreshed faceup (her blushing chipped), and Khorae had spotty eyebrows (the MSC and paint were flaking off). Khorae's eyebrows are fixed now and she also received new eyelashes (Rosslyn is the best). So, enjoy shots from a recent doll meet of three people, but hey, we had fun. It was in a restaurant, so the lighting was bad. You can somewhat see Khorae's chipped eyebrows in these shots. Briar was getting snuggled by Kat's doll, Thea (pretty sure that's her name). Another shot, with Rosslyn's Copernica on the far left. And now the whole group. We had a good dinner and a better chat at the small meet up.

Since he doesn't really have flesh.... As far as the Court goes, Khorae is Wes' younger half-sister. They have the advantage of being a bit older now, so they tend to collaborate and scheme together, instead of against each other. This is not a good thing for those around them.

I have mentioned him just barely a few times, but Wes is my floating head. He's an Iplehouse Storm SID, and shares a body with one of Rosslyn's dolls, and she actually owns the body. She's generous enough to split use of the body until I can someday come up with the funds to get my own. I haven't mentioned him, because he's been in a box for the last year, with no faceup and no blushing, and no wig. Well, yesterday, he got his faceup! Rosslyn did an amazing job... I swear, she's too kind to me. I don't have pics yet because he's too proud to be photographed unclothed and his wig will take some work to look right. Expect to see him soon, though.

More shots of the hat I knit. Rosslyn's Stella is the model and decided she wants it. So it seems this hat is sold.

I have not been lazy. Here is the completed rose bliaut I made for Khorae with my own hands. It will have a green vest and trim to complete the look, but those are different projects! So pretty! And this... Became this. It's actually a teensy bit too small for her, but it would fit a Yo-SD, like Rosslyn's troll Stella, perfectly.
