Added Some Things

While I do not currently have another real post, I added pages, one for each of my dolls, onto the sidebar. Go ahead and check them out for basic info on each doll. I'm hoping for some better portrait shots someday for the tinies, but they are patient with my lack of camera skills. Most of the time.

You may notice that each doll has some connections to Rosslyn's dolls. This cannot be helped; Rosslyn and her dollies were too instrumental in my gaining my dolls and working out characters. Khorae had a set character who already had ties with Rosslyn's. Briar and Cherry didn't, as I hadn't anticipated their arrivals or tried to come up with specific characters ahead of time. They grew into their own unique selves. The only thing all three seem to have in common in generally being a pain to me in order to get my attention. Heh.

The Cloaks Are Finished!

The cloaks I mentioned in the previous post are completely finished and posted on the DoA forums. I loved the pics taken. They make me wish I had a Fairyland Littlefee at home to wear them. So cute! Progress on the Modifications

I do not have pictures at this time, but that will hopefully change soon. Khorae's modifications are mostly complete now and her posing ability is amazing, especially compared to what it once was. She can sit up straight without any support--and did so for two days straight! She can even cross her legs and hold that pose as well. Her new sleeping head has had the lips parted further for a more natural sleeping look, and the eyes have been closed with epoxy sculpt. The nose has also been filed down to match her awake head, and the ears pierced. I'll go into more detail when I do finally have photos. Unfortunately, though, she's still blank, so hopefully we can get her blushed and faceupped soon, before the autumn weather changes to something too damp to work with.

I Live! Dollies Live, Too!

I haven't forgotten about my blog, I promise. My classes have begun to kick my butt, so my free time is eaten up by homework and tests and studying. However, I do have good news on the dolly front. Today, Khorae was completely pulled apart at Rosslyn's place and wiped clean. Faceup included. She's about to undergo serious modifications (beyond the nosejob we've already given her). Rosslyn is going to add posing capabilities to Khorae's torso and legs, so that she can properly sit up, and stand. Also, Rosslyn mentioned that she felt she was better and more experienced at faceups now, so Khorae needed a more natural look while still being manicured. Think manicured in the Middle Ages. Also, Khorae will be getting a second head, so she'll have a sleeping face as well as her awake one, and we also have a second pair of hands we hope to boil and then curve the resin into a shape more conducive to holding something.
