Cherry's Beginning

Shortly after obtaining her, Cherry was brought out to be given a full body blushing and her cheeks and grinning mouth were to be pinked. Rosslyn made her a wig out of feathers. It's rather fetching but not quite her.

We popped off her faceplate and brought out her sleeping faceplate, which had no faceup. Here they are laid out with Rosslyn matching the blushed areas to begin with.

And now we have her with us antiquing, later that week! You can see her pink wittle knees and cheeks. She's all done but for more clothes and a regular wig. The chair and padded footstool she's sitting on were made out of curled aluminum, possibly from soda cans. They were really cool! Aw, her little smiling face; it brings me glee.

Oh no! There are faeries in the tea!

We grew concerned that our girls were going to hit the road and leave us in the dust.

Thankfully, Cherry doesn't know how to drive, and Apple didn't think to gas the car.

Progress on the Modifications

I do not have pictures at this time, but that will hopefully change soon. Khorae's modifications are mostly complete now and her posing ability is amazing, especially compared to what it once was. She can sit up straight without any support--and did so for two days straight! She can even cross her legs and hold that pose as well. Her new sleeping head has had the lips parted further for a more natural sleeping look, and the eyes have been closed with epoxy sculpt. The nose has also been filed down to match her awake head, and the ears pierced. I'll go into more detail when I do finally have photos. Unfortunately, though, she's still blank, so hopefully we can get her blushed and faceupped soon, before the autumn weather changes to something too damp to work with.

I Live! Dollies Live, Too!

I haven't forgotten about my blog, I promise. My classes have begun to kick my butt, so my free time is eaten up by homework and tests and studying. However, I do have good news on the dolly front. Today, Khorae was completely pulled apart at Rosslyn's place and wiped clean. Faceup included. She's about to undergo serious modifications (beyond the nosejob we've already given her). Rosslyn is going to add posing capabilities to Khorae's torso and legs, so that she can properly sit up, and stand. Also, Rosslyn mentioned that she felt she was better and more experienced at faceups now, so Khorae needed a more natural look while still being manicured. Think manicured in the Middle Ages. Also, Khorae will be getting a second head, so she'll have a sleeping face as well as her awake one, and we also have a second pair of hands we hope to boil and then curve the resin into a shape more conducive to holding something. She should be more versatile once she's comple...

Halloween Pictures!

Cherry, Lan, and Briar decided they wanted to join in on the Halloween fun, so enjoy their costumes and little sets! Cherry went very Disney with her Frozen-inspired dress and a tiny pumpkin from our garden. Lan is a little witch and every witch needs a familiar. Briar wanted to enjoy some sumptuous Middle Eastern furniture and costume!
