Khorae's Mods! (Warning: Nude Doll)

Khorae is finally complete and put together! I've had her home, but was waiting on the pictures Rosslyn took of her before and after so I could have a detailed post for you all!

Now, we begin with the modwork. To begin with, we posed her as she was before, posing as best she could. She could not even sit properly. This is as far up as she could sit and would fall backwards at the slightest provocation--or lack thereof.

The pic below illustrates how far forward she could sit before the mods. Thew torso joint has no lock and the position is awkward.

Her face had it's own share of issues. The faceup itself was too painted on looking and now Rosslyn felt she could do much better and make the face more natural. Also, Khorae's eyelashes had gotten very crumpled and needed to be replaced.

I'd already had her nose filed down, as you can see in the next two pictures. She has a second head now, which is still in the process of getting it's eyes closed, ears pierced, and a matching faceup to the awake head.

As you can see, it was a much pointier nose. Not Khorae at all. So, we wiped her completely down, removing the faceup and fading body blushing to make way for the rest.

Here is the overall effect of what she looked like before.

And now the results!

She sits! All by herself! Upright!! Eeeeeeee!

Here you can better see several mods. We sanded her nipples down so she wouldn't be permanently going around very cold, then blushed them back on. We deepened the hip socket and the joint channel so she could sit up properly, then added the mobility joint you see in the thigh.

Forgive the silly arms pose; it's there so you can see she doesn't need her arms or hands to support herself any longer. This is how far forward she can slump now, which wasn't possible before.

And here's her thigh joint in action! She can cross her legs!

Contraposto....

I'm just stunned at how naturally she can move and sit now. I pose her and she not only stays in the pose, but it looks good.

And an extra:
BWAAAAIIIIIIIIINSS....

The Cloaks Are Finished!

The cloaks I mentioned in the previous post are completely finished and posted on the DoA forums. I loved the pics taken. They make me wish I had a Fairyland Littlefee at home to wear them. So cute! Here are Rosslyn's dolls Stella and Scythe modeling the various cloaks: Overall, I'm very pleased with how they came out! If you would like to purchase one, go here . Progress on the Modifications

I do not have pictures at this time, but that will hopefully change soon. Khorae's modifications are mostly complete now and her posing ability is amazing, especially compared to what it once was. She can sit up straight without any support--and did so for two days straight! She can even cross her legs and hold that pose as well. Her new sleeping head has had the lips parted further for a more natural sleeping look, and the eyes have been closed with epoxy sculpt. The nose has also been filed down to match her awake head, and the ears pierced. I'll go into more detail when I do finally have photos. Unfortunately, though, she's still blank, so hopefully we can get her blushed and faceupped soon, before the autumn weather changes to something too damp to work with.

I Live! Dollies Live, Too!

I haven't forgotten about my blog, I promise. My classes have begun to kick my butt, so my free time is eaten up by homework and tests and studying. However, I do have good news on the dolly front. Today, Khorae was completely pulled apart at Rosslyn's place and wiped clean. Faceup included. She's about to undergo serious modifications (beyond the nosejob we've already given her). Rosslyn is going to add posing capabilities to Khorae's torso and legs, so that she can properly sit up, and stand. Also, Rosslyn mentioned that she felt she was better and more experienced at faceups now, so Khorae needed a more natural look while still being manicured. Think manicured in the Middle Ages. Also, Khorae will be getting a second head, so she'll have a sleeping face as well as her awake one, and we also have a second pair of hands we hope to boil and then curve the resin into a shape more conducive to holding something. She should be more versatile once she's comple
