Old Chess Meet (2010)

These are never posted pictures from an old meet back in April 2010. I'll be posting more old meet pictures for the next few weeks.

Vintage Vogue Briar

So Briar was deserving of some proper attention and wanted to show off her new wig. It was previewed in the Portland shots and she is eager to show off her new photos! She is so beautiful in these shots. Rosslyn took all of these pictures. She reminds me of the old fashioned stars of the silver screen: Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe... Might have to use more vintage styles on Briar from now on. Catching the last rays of sunset there.

Meet Rania

Here is my lovely new doll after getting her the way I wanted her. "Why, Adara, she is not nearly as pale as she was in the box opening photos! What happened??" I'd always envisioned Rania as Indian, possibly Hindu (working on her background). A pale, white skinned doll would not do. I asked Rosslyn for help, as I simply knew the Souldoll Soulkid Amy doll had the right face for what I wanted, if someone could just help me get the rest of the way. Rosslyn obliged. Finally, Rosslyn was triumphant and Rania looked almost herself. The next two days, Rosslyn worked hard to give Rania her faceup and body blushing. She i...

New Doll--Warning, Doll Nudity

My lovely husband bought me a doll I've wanted for years for my birthday. But, the person they ordered it from (he and my best friend were in on it) accepted payment, then went radio silent for several weeks, and then claimed a truck ran over the box and destroyed the doll (how??). Yes, the money was refunded. Still, frustrating. By then, I was in on the purchase and we discovered another sculpt I wanted was about to be discontinued and on a final sale. So, we bought the Souldoll Soulkid Amy. After many months of waiting, she has arrived! Enjoy the following box opening. Certificate of authenticity! And a couple scratchers for their tenth anniversary sales. Oh, it's a dolly! Freebies and doll supplies. Mummy wrap stage. And here she is! The freebies turn out to be a cotton candy pink wig and two sets of eyes. So here she is dressed and in her new wig. There will be more shots later as she is completed. She needs dy...
